The lack of a
harmonized understanding of fundamental principles is arguably leading to the
further fragmentation of Space Law. As international legal tenets are
interpreted, internalized and put into practice by States and other
stakeholders, different perspectives can be observed, possibly leading to
conflicting outlooks. By focusing on South American perspectives, different
factors leading to this complex scenario are observed, justifying stronger
international coordination towards shared legal interpretations.
