In 2020, a general Law on Space Activities was adopted by Luxembourg, following the 2017 Law on Space Resources. Both texts serve as a legal basis for authorizing and supervising space activities of Luxembourg, replacing the system of concessions based on the 1991 Law on Electronic Media. Moreover, the 2020 Law created conditions for the ratification of the 1975 UN Registration Convention by Luxembourg.
