This article considers the need for the establishment in Hong Kong of (i) specialised children’s dispute resolution procedures that are less adversarial, more child-focused and allow for greater direct participation by children and young people, and (ii) a new form of dispute resolution known as ‘collaborative practice’ a multi-disciplinary, settlement-directed and client-focused process used to resolve family and children’s disputes in a collaborative manner.
