This article provides a detailed analysis of articles 27 and 28 of the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules (2013 Edn) with regard to joinder and consolidation of and intervention in related arbitrations. The article notes the significantly increased power for the HKIAC and the Tribunal to order joinder, intervention and consolidation. It stems from a panel discussion at the ADR and Arbitration in Asia conference hosted by HKIAC in October 2013.
