This article discusses the changes made by the 2016 edition of the ACICA Arbitration Rules, which took effect on 1 January 2016, with regard to joinder in and consolidation of arbitrations. Comparisons are made with similar or equivalent provisions in the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules (2013 edition), the SIAC Arbitration Rules (2013 edition) and the draft SIAC Arbitration Rules 2016.
