This article discusses China’s Belt and Road Initiative, its objectives and its political background. It focuses primarily on the implications for dispute resolution along the 60 jurisdictions affected, particularly with regard to investment arbitration, and proposes that Hong Kong would be particularly well placed to resolve such disputes.
