This article summarises and reviews the restructuring of the Japan Commercial Association’s arbitration rules into a tripartite system comprising (1) the 2019 version of its principal Commercial Arbitration Rules, (2) a new set of its so-called ‘Interactive Arbitration Rules’, and (3) a revised version of its Administrative Rules for UNCITRAL Arbitration. Views are also expressed as to the likelihood of an increased uptake of JCAA services by potential users
