This article highlights the latest revisions made to CIETAC
arbitration by its Arbitration Rules 2024, which took effect on 1 January 2024.
Particular attention is devoted to three major themes of the reforms, namely
(1) arbitral efficiency, (2) international standardisation and (3)
technological convenience. The author anticipates that users of the 2024 Rules
will experience a more convenient and efficient CIETAC arbitration procedure that
aligns with international standards while at the same time preserving
distinctive local features.
