This article discusses a number of ethical questions encountered in mediations and suggests answers for both mediators and party lawyers. It is based on talks given during 2005 to the American Bar Association (Dublin), LEADR and the Queensland Bar, but is complemented by comments on the various questions raised by both the author and Sir Laurence Street, former Chief Justice of New South Wales, Australia.
