Economically, division of labour brings about greater output of production. In transnational corporations individuals, government and countries could combine to bring about an enterprise. Where such exist, economic advantage will have been greatly achieved. In transnational corporations enterprises exist outside the country in which the entrepreneurs are based. This article introduces the subject matter, gives a brief historical development of transnational corporations, and examines the global environmental crises. The legal, political and economic roles of transnational corporations come under review.Also the article examines the United Nations Code of Conduct for Transnational Corporations and concludes that transnational corporations have made the world an easy market and countries have benefited from their roles, and the world looks forward to even further benefits of corporations.
