Since the adoption of the Law of Ukraine On Business Associations in 1991 through the 2003 Civil Code of Ukraine and the 2008 Law of Ukraine On Joint-Stock Companies, the corporate landscape has changed immensely. The new laws on corporate law and governance in Ukraine are designed in accordance with the Concept of the Corporate Law Reform and considered as steps to approximate Ukrainian company law with European standards.
