In answering the question whether Europe is still an attractive investment destination various economic and institutional factors illustrate that, overall, the EU and its Member States are faring pretty well, although important differences between the Member States remain. Nonetheless, political instability can easily arise through sudden political shifts in the Member States as well as divergent views of the Member States potentially making the decision- making process within the EU difficult. Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, migration and climate crises further add to the political instability.
