The article compiles essential information regarding the Rules of Origin provided in the trade agreements to which Brazil is a party, including the Free Trade Agreement (FTA)’s signed by Mercosur.
The focus is to point out the differences in the preferential Rules of origin provided in the different trade agreements signed by Brazil and Mercosur, especially in relation to the value-added requirement when imported inputs from non-state parties are used to manufacture a finished product.
