A large part of the references to the European Court of Justice concerning the Aquired Rights Directive 77/187/EEC (ARD) has been made by Danish courts of general jurisdiction, despite most labour law cases being handled by specialised courts. The ARD does not structurally fit within the traditional Danish system.
