The Chinese European Arbitration Centre (CEAC) is specialized in China-related trade and investment cases. Contrary to its name, CEAC is tailor-made for cases from any part of the world which relate to the Chinese market, even if only remotely. Established in September 2008, CEAC has started to administer (seven) cases in 2012. The article analyses CEAC's key characteristics, such as its concept of 'perceived neutrality', and the CEAC Rules in comparison with the underlying UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
