This so-called « sociological » research is based on the analysis of several arbitral associations websites. The article focus on the promotion and the structuration of the « small world » of arbitration. Arbitral associations as the Comité français de l’arbitrage for example have different missions : promoting interest in and understanding of arbitration. Those missions have symbolic but important consequences on representation of the arbitration world and provide professional networking opportunities.
