The
WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, as an international and neutral
alternative dispute resolution provider, witnesses the emergence of trends and
strategies regarding the choice of private parties for the resolution of their
intellectual property and technology disputes. This article presents the latest
developments on the activities of the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center,
focuses on the specificities of IP disputes and the advantages of ADR services
for specific IP sectors. The Center’s caseload provides examples of some of the
issues that arise in arbitration proceedings of IP disputes.
