The reform of OHADA arbitration came into force on 15 march 2018. It has two components : the Uniform Act on Arbitration and the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration Rules of Arbitration. In addition, on this occasion, OHADA law has been enriched by a Uniform Act on Mediation, which offers a modern and original alternative dispute resolution mechanism, which should satisfy the practitioners and economic operators active on the African continent. This ambitious but measured reform aims to reassure investors, who are always apprehensive of the risks related to this continent but also attracted by its development and its promising perspectives.
