Summary
Despite some occasional criticism, the decisions of the Superior Court of Justice (“SCJ”) have been largely favourable to arbitration on a great number of issues, ensuring a friendly environment for the development of arbitration from both a domestic and an international perspective. The article will deal with some important decisions rendered by the Court in the exercise of its jurisdiction on appeal, and in its original jurisdiction, related to the cases of recognition of foreign arbitral awards.
