Abstract

Jordan offers several opportunities for investors; one of them is the formation of the exempt companies. The political stability and the geographical location of Jordan are playing an obvious role for attracting investors. This paper concentrates on the legislative features only; political and geographical considerations will not be discussed in my article. It examines the characteristics of the exempt companies, and the legal forms of the exempt companies. The article focuses in particular on whether the Jordanian legislature did the right thing for presenting multiple legal forms of the exempt companies.
