Abstract
This article highlights the power and influence of directors in the UK while also alerting attention to the expanding responsibilities that come with them. It argues that while the legal risks associated with directorships are substantially increasing, directors may not fall foul of the law with care, diligence, and common sense, together with sound commercially-based legal advice.
